Dr. Benavides-Montaño Javier Antonio is an Associate Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNAL), working in undergrad and graduate courses offering Parasitology, Preventive Medicine, Immunology, and Infectious diseases. He graduated in 1999 from DVM and Animal Production Science at the Universidad de Caldas. He obtained a master’s Education Diploma from the Universidad de Manizales, Caldas-Colombia, in 2004 and continued his master’s in Veterinary Science at the Universidad Federal de Viçosa - Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 2006. In 2008 he got a position at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia as a Professor in Parasitology. He earned Fulbright Scholarship in 2011 and finished his Ph.D. in Veterinary Science working in the Immunology and Infectious Disease Program at the Paul G Allen School for Global Animal Health– at Washington State University USA in 2017. His main research activities are in Preventive Medicine, Parasitology, and Infectious diseases. He has developed different studies on different parasites. Recently he focused on wild and remerging conditions with zoonotic potential and parasites that affect humans and animals. He got university funding to fortify his Lab in Parasitology/Immunology and Infectious Diseases (PARINEI) to prevent and reduce animal and human disease impact on production systems and public health by considering one health approach. In 2019 their team got 2.000.000.000 to get a new Confocal Microscopy and the Microscopy Center at the UNAL Palmira. He is part of the Editorial Board and Academic Editor in PLOS ONE (ISSN: 1932-6203) and Acta Agronomica 2323-0118

Dr. Janeen L. Salak-Johnson received her Ph.D. from Texas Tech University and an NIH Postdoctoral Training Fellowship in Psychoneuroimmunology at the University of Minnesota. She joined the University of Illinois Department of Animal Sciences faculty. She joined the Oklahoma State University faculty in 2018 and holds the Temple Grandin Endowed Professorship. Her research focuses on maternal-fetal interactions on stress physiology, brain-gut-immune axis, and well-being of future progeny utilizing basic and translational sciences. She has attained a national and international reputation as a leading scholar in stress physiology and animal well-being. She serves on numerous national and international advisory boards, including AAALAC International. She has been highly productive over the last 10 years with 27 manuscripts, 37 invited presentations, and mentored >25 graduate and undergraduate students. She has secured over $13 million in funding as PI, Co, or mentor from USDA and NIH over 6 years.

Koichi Shimizu received M.S. (1976) and Ph.D. (1979) degrees, from University of Washington, Seattle, USA. He was Research Associate in University of Washington 1974-79. He was an Assistant-, an Associate- Professors, and a Professor in Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan in 1979-2016. He is currently a Professor Emeritus of Hokkaido University, Japan, an Invited Research Professor of Waseda University, Japan and a Professor of Xidian University, Xi’an, China. He has been engaged in the studies of biomedical engineering including those of wave propagation in biological media, optical measurement, biotelemetry and biological effects of electromagnetic field. He served as an associate editor of IEEE Trans. ITB in 1999–2007. He has been a Fellow of the Electromagnetics Academy, and an editorial board member of Scientific Reports, Nature. He is a member of IEEE, OSA, ISOB, IEEJ, IEICE and JSMBE. He received Research Promotion Award (1981), Best Paper Award (1995) and New Technology Development Award (2020) from Japan Society for Medical and Biological Engineering.

YAN Jing received her Ph.D. in Pathogenic Organisms from Zhejiang University, China, in 2021. YAN Jing is a dedicated researcher specializing in the field of molecular epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance mechanisms of Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Following the completion of her doctoral studies, YAN Jing joined Zhejiang Xiaoshan Hospital as an Assistant Researcher. In this role, she actively contributes to the hospital’s research endeavors and aims to understand the genetic diversity and transmission patterns of Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and also YAN Jing has a keen interest in the evaluation of alternative antibiotics for the treatment of Neisseria gonorrhoeae infections. Her research in this area contributes to the development of strategies to overcome antibiotic resistance and improve patient outcomes.

Dr Krzysztof Grzymajlo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Science, Poland. He majored in biomedical biotechnology at Wroclaw University and obtained his Ph.D. degree from Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Science working on Salmonella proteins responsible for adhesion and first stages of host-pathogen interactions. He collaborates with scientific groups from the USA, Germany, and Sweden in order to develop new models for host-pathogen interaction. The scientific activity of Krzysztof Grzymajło is focused on molecular microbiology of Salmonella infection, including gene editing, protein expression and secretion patterns, and membrane stability. From the host's point of view, he is interested in pathogen binding patterns, with a particular emphasis on ligand-receptor interactions and innate immune response. He authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and was a principal investigator in 7 projects financed from external sources.

Billie Groom is a Canine Psychotherapist hailing from Toronto, Canada. After three decades of researching, developing, and applying psychotherapeutic practices as a successful entrepreneur and innovator, she completed the Canine Cognition and Emotions to Improve Animal Welfare (PhD course) at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and PhD courses in Leadership and Ethics in Animal Welfare from Antioch University (US) in 2023. Billie completed the Canine Brain Development Through Life Stages course in 2021. Billie is an award-winning author and podcast host, and was featured in Psychology Today Magazine by Marc Bekoff, The L.A. Tribune, and on Roku TV; has presented at the Animal Behavior Conference (2022/23), and is a guest on many shows including The Vet Blast. Billie is the Vice President of Dog Writers Association of America, founder of the Institute of Canine Psychotherapy and Integrative Practices, and an advisor at the University of Texas (Canine Innovations). Billie’s extensive work with traumatized dogs, psychologists, veterinarians, and rescue organizations globally has earned her the position of leader in the canine behavior and welfare sectors. Billie is currently taking her PhD in Transpersonal Ecology at the University of Sedona.

“Dr. Miao Wang is an Associate Professor at Institute of Apicultural Research, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), China. She majored in molecular biology and received postgraduate training from both CAAS and Jilin University. She obtained her PhD degree from Jilin University in 2015 before assuming a position at the Institute of Apicultural Research. Her primary research interests lie in uncovering the regulatory mechanisms of RNA m6A modification in honeybee development and social construction, as well as exploring DNA and RNA modifications as promising biomarkers for environmental risk assessment in honeybees.”

Prof. Patrizia Licata is Associate Professor at Department of Veterinary Science, University of Messina, Italy. She received her PhD degree in Veterinary Medicine, she won a post PhD scholarship in Veterinary Medicine and then she became an Assistant Professor in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology. She collaborates with other scientific structures and national and international research groups. In particular the scientific activity of Prof. Patrizia Licata concernes different topics of pharmaco-toxicological interest and in particular is characterized by: studies of ecotoxicology and risk from xenobiotics, investigation on the effects of xenobiotics with potential endocrine or carcinogenic activity on fish models, studies on the in vivo and in vitro effects of anti-inflammatory substances, research for contaminants in fresh and processed foods for humans. Prof. Patrizia Licata has published articles in peer reviewed international journals and scientific books in the field of veterinary toxicology and pharmacology, pharmacological activity of natural substances. She has been a speaker at numerous international and national congresses.

Prof. Simona Di Pietro is Associate Professor at Department of Veterinary Science, University of Messina, Italy. She graduated in Veterinary Medicine and received her PhD degree in Veterinary Ophthalmology; she won a post PhD scholarship in Veterinary Ophthalmology and then she became an Assistant Professor in Veterinary Medicine. She collaborates with other scientific structures and national and international research groups. In particular, the scientific activity of Prof. Simona Di Pietro concernes different topics of veterinary medicine interest, as followed: studies of veterinary ophthalmology; epidemiological investigations and clinical and therapeutic evaluations of infectious and parasitic diseases in livestock and companion animals, with particular reference to zoonotic aspects and vector diseases; description of clinical cases of internal medicine; clinical and laboratory diagnostics; emergency medicine and intensive care; monitoring of clinical parameters during animal anaesthesia; application of the animal as a co-therapist in the treatment of some human pathologies. He was the founding faculty member of the Department of Agricultural Economy, from the Sütçü İmam University, Kahramanmaraş, in Türkiye. He had worked Çukurova, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, which was head of department of agricultural economics, Kahramanmaraş, Türkiye. He works in Selçuk University since 1997. He worked as the director of the Taşkent Vocational Scholl at 6 years, in Taşkent, Konya, Türkiye. He was also a Visiting Professor one month at Tanta University, Egypt, 4 months North Dakota State University, USA, and he is visiting many of countries for research and technical subjects. He worked on international relationships, organizing conferences, supervising projects throughout the world. He was the author of the book entitled “Agriculture History” published in 2012 and second edition in 2014, which is a new concept in agriculture sector. He is the editor of the some book entitled conferences proceeding. These proceeding books brought new dimensions to agricultural sector and agro food industry. His current research interests include sustainable agriculture and food marketing. He is also an organizer as well as chair series of International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Environment performed six times in different countries. He is an expert especially in agricultural marketing, organization, and cooperatives.

Dr. Bi obtained his PhD. degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Sun Yat-Sen University in 2007 and conducted bilateral collaboration in Curie Institute of France (2007-2008) and AgResearch Ltd. of New Zealand (2014-2015). He joined Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences since October 2010 and is currently the Vice Head of the Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. His research of interest is gene editing-oriented livestock germplasm innovation and improvement. Dr. Bi created the first marker-free myostatin knockout pigs by combining CRISPR/Cas9 and Cre/LoxP technologies, and this new line of leaner pigs has been on the second phase of GMO biosafety evaluation in China. Dr. Bi made the international first anti-Afrian Swine Fever gene edited pigs by dual sgRNA-mediated DNA excision in the host receptor that is critical to the entry of ASF virus into porcine cells. He designed a “gene trapping” strategy to make use of endogenous porcine myostatin cis-regulatory elements to drive the IGF-Ⅰexpression so as to enhance pig growth performance, which had been granted the second prize of Hubei Technological Innovation Award in 2016. He conceptualized and actualized dual fluorescence-assisted selection to greatly improve the on-target gene editing efficiency relative to traditional gene targeting method. He was recognized as the”Excellent Young Scientist in Agriculture” in 2022, “Outstanding Young Scientist” of Hubei Natural Science Foundation in 2018, “Outstanding Young Scientist in Agricultural Research” of Central China Agricultural Innovation Coalition in 2017, “Young Pillar Talent” of Hubei Province in 2015. He co-authored 14 peer-reviewed publications with total IF of 59 and had 7 patents. He was also invited for academic talks in 13 national and international science conferences. Dr. Bi is now the senior member of Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, executive director of the Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine of Hubei Province, and executive director of the Association of Genetics of Hubei Province.

Leticia M. Estevinho received the Zootechnical Engineering degree (summa cum laude) in 1985 and the M.S. degree in biotechnology (with merit) in 1989. In 1995, finished the PhD degree in Science given by Minho University, Braga, Portugal. In 2009, passed with merit the proofs of Agregação - the last step in the academic career in Portugal. Estevinho has worked in Agricultural College of Braganca, Braganca, Portugal, since 1986 and has great experience in students’ coordination (16 PhD students and three Postdoctoral researchers). Leticia M. Estevinho has published more than 173 articles in indexed international journals, written five book chapters and has presented more 160 oral and written communications. Was the principal investigator of more than 25 scientific projects, totally financed, and has published 4 patents. She is the Head of the Microbiology Laboratory since 1986. Was the editor-in-chief of three journals and currently belongs to the editorial board of 38 international journals; has revised more than 300 articles of indexed journals. Nowadays, Estevinho serves as a Coordinator Professor with Agregação in the Polytechnic Institute of Braganca, Portugal.

Jenny (MSc AWSEL, BSc, FHEA) is a remote Associate Lecturer on the MSc in animal welfare, behaviour, ethics, and law with the University of Winchester. Alongside this, she works as an independent researcher (via Mace Animal Welfare). Jenny is also the Editing Co-ordinator/Co-owner of the international academic editing company Cammad Ltd. She cares for two rescue cats, one Romanian-rescue dog, and five ex-commercial hens. She is based in Fife, Scotland.

Dr. Yang Yayuan studied food science and engineering at California State University Fresno from August 2009 to June 2012. After that, she worked as an internal inspector and international sales in Gansu Dahe Ecological Food Co., Ltd. She received her doctorate in animal food nutrition and engineering from Gansu Agricultural University in June 2020. At present, Dr. Yang Yayuan is an assistant researcher in Lanzhou Institute of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Her main research interests are the processing of livestock products and the impact of intestinal microorganisms on meat quality.

Chaima Sdiri has been a Research Consultant in animal production at ODESYPANO since 2023. In 2019, she achieved the title of an engineer in animal and forage production, show-casing her commitment to the field of agriculture. Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue a Master's degree in animal genetics and biotechnology, which she successfully completed in 2021, further enhancing her expertise. In 2023, she took on the role of a consultant in animal production with ODESYPANO, where she continues to apply her specialized knowledge to contribute to the organization's endeavors. Simultaneously, she is currently immersed in her doctoral studies, focusing on animal genetics and epigenetic, at the research laboratory of ecosystems and aquatic resources within the National Institute of Agriculture in Tunisia

Prof. Babelhadj Baaissa, the discoverer of prion disease in dromedary, known as "crazy dromedary" at the slaughterhouse in the municipality of Ouargla, Algeria. I am a teacher-researcher at the Ecole normale superieure de Ouargla, Algeria, and I work in the Laboratory for Ecosystem Protection in Arid and Semi-Arid Zones at the Kasdi Merbah University of Ouargla in Algeria. My main areas of interest include the study of infectious diseases, biometrics, osteometry, and the performance of camel breeding.

Professor Nasrin Sultana Juyena received her degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Science (FVS), Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). She joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh in 2000 and then promoted to Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in 2004, 2011, and 2015, respectively. She worked as the Head (2013-2015) of the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics, Faculty of Veterinary Science, BAU. Professor Juyena achieved PhD (2011) in semen cryopreservation from the Department of Veterinary Clinical Science, University of Padova, Italy. Her professional and research interests include sexing of sperm and embryo, embryo production and transfer, ultrasonography, Dairy herd reproductive health management and reproductive surgery. She achieved an “early career fellowship” from OWSD in 2019. She has completed eleven research projects funded by different national and international (World Bank, OWSD) organizations. At present, she is conducting research on “Speeding up genetic gain through embryo production and transfer for sustainable improvement of milk production in dairy cattle of Bangladesh” funded by the Livestock and Dairy Development Project, Department of Livestock Services, Bangladesh. She published 76 scientific papers in national and international journals and 29 proceeding papers presented at various national and international conferences held in Tunisia, Finland, the USA, Italy, Bangladesh (invited speaker) and South Africa (Keynote speaker). She has supervised 53 MS students and three PhD students. Moreover, Professor Juyena is the editor of the Bangladesh Veterinary Journal, published by the Bangladesh Veterinary Association.
